Inserting Contact Lenses:

1.    Wash Your Hands:

Always wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before handling your contact lenses.

Use a lint-free towel to dry your hands to prevent fibers from sticking to the lenses.

2.    Inspect the Lens:

Gently remove a lens from its case or blister pack.

Place the lens on the tip of your index finger and check that it is not inside out. A correctly oriented lens will have a smooth, bowl-like shape, while an inside-out lens will have edges that flare outward.

3.    Rinse the Lens:

If using monthly or bi-weekly lenses, rinse the lens with a multi-purpose lens solution before inserting. Avoid using water.

4.    Position the Lens:

Using your other hand, hold your upper eyelid to prevent blinking.

Use your middle finger of the same hand (the one holding the lens) to gently pull down your lower eyelid.

5.    Insert the Lens:

Look upwards or directly at the mirror and place the lens onto the center of your eye.

Gently release your eyelids and blink several times to help the lens settle into position.

6.    Check Comfort and Vision:

Make sure the lens feels comfortable and your vision is clear.

If the lens feels uncomfortable, remove it, clean it with the solution, and try inserting it again.

7.    Repeat for the Other Eye:

Follow the same steps for the second lens.

ing your optician’s recommendations helps avoid discomfort or issues with the fit and effectiveness of the lenses.
